I'm dreaming of a white pizza....

Last week was spring break and I got to cook so many great meals. Then this week comes along and I had to go back to school and then I got stuck with a nasty cold. I finally feel better and figured my blog was lonely and needed updating so I whipped a couple of treats today.

I had some pizza crust that I needed to use up. So I threw together a white pizza. Usually I would add some broccoli or bacon to this but I did not have either of those items handy.

Chicken Alfredo Pizza
(Source: Amber's Delectable Delights)

1 - pizza crust
Italian seasoning and garlic powder (to taste)
2 Tbls Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup alfredo sauce
2 cloves garlic (pressed or minced)
1 boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese
- Optional 1/4 cup broccoli pieces
- Optional 1/3 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Spread pizza crust out on pan to desired thickness. Sprinkle pizza crust with Italian seasoning (I used Penzey's "Pasta Sprinkle"), garlic powder and parmesan cheese. Place pizza crust in preheated oven about 7 minutes or until crust is "set".

Remove pizza crust from oven. Mix together the alfredo sauce and garlic and place on top of pre-baked crust. The place the cooked chicken evenly over sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese (and more parmesan if desired) and bake until cheese has melted. Once cheese has melted turn on the broiler and broil 1-2 minutes until cheese is brown and bubbly.

This looks great! I love alfredo in moderation and this is a good change from regular pasta dishes :)
