My take on the calzone

I was so uninspired to come up with something for dinner this evening. I went back and forth and then just came to a halt. Then a friend convinced me that I just needed to knock-off my un-decisiveness and make Calzones. So I did, but they were not your typical calzones. I put my own spin on them and they turned out excellent!

Ok come on, please do not laugh at them. It was my first time making them and they do not quite look like real calzones. ;)

I do not really have a recipe. But here are the ingredients I used. You can use as much or as little as you want on them.

White Chicken Calzones
(Source: Amber's Delectable Delights)

Pizza dough
"Pizza Topper" seasoning blend
Alfredo sauce
Cheese (I used mozzarella, provolone and Parmesan)
Broccoli
Grilled chicken
Mushrooms (in mine but not my husbands)
Egg wash (egg white and water)

Preheat oven to at least 400 degrees.
Cut ball of pizza dough in half and roll each half out.
Top half of each pizza half with whatever ingredients you desire.
Fold untopped half over topped half and either roll the seams inward or press them together with a fork.
If the calzone is not already on the sheet you are baking it on transfer it now.
Brush the top of each calzone with egg wash and top with Parmesan cheese and seasonings, if desired.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
